Tier 00

Showcase

110 setup

A hosted page on The Art Room for working visual artists who want a real web presence without running a website themselves.

For artists actively making work who want presence beyond Instagram but don’t yet need a full site of their own. Painters, photographers, sculptors, printmakers, ceramicists.

What you get

  • A single page at TheArtRoom.ie/artists/your-name, designed and built by us
  • Up to 8 works displayed with full metadata
  • Bio, artist statement, links to your shop and social
  • Foundational SEO (your name in URL, structured data)
  • Hosting and uptime managed by us
  • One full content refresh per year at renewal
  • Concierge-built, with no admin required from you

Unlike our other tiers, Showcase pages live on TheArtRoom.ie. You don’t get a separate site or admin. We design, build, and host. You write back with materials and we handle the rest.

Hosted · The Atelier

The Atelier

250/year

A hosted page for art schools, studios, print studios, galleries and collectives — the places that teach the work, house the work, exhibit the work, print the work.

For owners who want a calm, professional home for their classes and exhibitions — one that ranks on Google and converts visitors into enquiries, without running a website themselves.

What you get

  • A page at TheArtRoom.ie/studios/your-name, designed and built by us
  • A personal Showcase artist page for you, included free (worth €110) — your school AND your own page, both covered by the one €250/year
  • Your offerings listed — classes, courses, workshops — with dates, prices and a booking link, each marked Booking now / Waiting list / Closed
  • An embedded map, opening hours, and one-tap contact (email, phone, WhatsApp)
  • Testimonials from your own students or visitors
  • A gallery of your space and work
  • Links to every linked artist you host — and a link back from theirs
  • Local-business SEO: structured data for courses, reviews, address and map pack
  • Hosting, uptime and one content refresh a year — concierge-built, no admin from you

New to The Art Room? An Atelier includes a personal Showcase artist page for you — your school and your own page, both on one €250/year renewal. Already have a Showcase with us? Adding the Atelier costs the difference between what you paid for your Showcase and the full Atelier price — e.g. €140 if you paid the standard rate — on the same shared renewal.

Editorial · Viewing Rooms

A viewing room for your next show.

For galleries, artists, and organisers.

A hosted, editorial viewing room for your exhibition — its own URL on The Art Room, your works shown whole on calm gallery walls, install shots and curator’s notes set in proper editorial type.

We build it for you from your materials (works, statement, images). You preview before paying — if it’s not right, you don’t pay. Once it’s live, it stays live forever, dated honestly when the show closes. A permanent online record of the exhibition, not a feed post that scrolls away.

€300 one-off. No subscription. No commission. Enquiries route to you, not us.

The Atelier

The terms, plainly

No surprises. These are stated again in full before you pay — and paying confirms you agree to them.

What it is, and for how long
An Atelier page is built and hosted by The Art Room and lives on theartroom.ie. Your membership runs for twelve months from the day the page goes live, and renews annually if you choose to continue. It is a yearly service, not a one-off purchase, and not a website you own or take with you.
Cost & renewal
€250 per year, billed annually, builds and keeps the page live. If you don't renew, the page comes down.
A Showcase page included
A new Atelier includes a personal Showcase artist page for you (normally €110), at theartroom.ie/artists/your-name — your school and your own page, both covered by the single €250/year renewal. If you already hold a Showcase with us, adding the Atelier costs the difference between what you paid for your Showcase and the full Atelier price, on the same shared renewal.
Changes after launch
You have 48 hours after the page goes live to request corrections, free of charge. After that, each change is €10, payable before the change is made. One full content refresh is included each year at renewal — ideal for updating a new term of classes.
Promotion
Being on The Art Room means being promoted: we may feature your page, your space and your work across our social media and channels, and link people back to you. That exposure is part of the value of joining.
Your content
You confirm you own or have the right to use the images and words on your page (no reposting others' work, no AI-generated images). We typeset and present your materials; the work and words remain yours.
Refunds
Setup and renewal fees are non-refundable — including if you cancel early, change your mind, or stop using the page. Because each page is built to order, the work is done once we begin. Please be happy with your preview before you pay; nothing goes live, and no payment is taken, until you've approved it.

Viewing Rooms

The terms, plainly

€300 one-off, you preview before you pay, the URL stays live forever. The rest, written out so there are no surprises.

What it is
A hosted, editorial viewing room for one exhibition — its own URL on theartroom.ie, works shown whole on calm gallery walls, install shots, curator's note, optional buy links that pass through to your own checkout. Enquiries route to you, not us.
What you pay
€300, one-off. No subscription, no recurring fees, no commission on any work that sells through the room. Existing Atelier subscribers can contact us about a bundled rate.
What we build
We lay out the page from materials you provide — high-resolution works, titles, dimensions, statement, install shots, dates. You get a preview link to review before paying. If it isn't right, you don't pay.
What we need from you
Works at print resolution (long edge ≥ 2000px), title / medium / year / dimensions per piece, artist name(s), an exhibition statement or curator's note, dates, the email enquiries should route to, and (optional) install shots + per-work buy links.
Changes after launch
2 rounds of small revisions are included after the room goes live (typos, swap an image, fix a caption). Further changes are €50 each. A full re-lay (new works, new note) is treated as a new room.
How long it stays up
Forever, by default. When the show closes you can mark it as a past viewing room — the URL stays live, dates clearly shown, so it becomes a permanent online record. If you'd rather the room come down after a set date, just tell us; we'll archive it on the day.
Sales & commission
If a work carries a "Buy" link, it points directly at your own checkout (Stripe Payment Link, gallery system, anywhere). The Art Room never handles the money and never takes commission on any sale.
Materials & ownership
You own the materials you upload (works, photos, text). We host them while the room is live. If we ever close, we'll send a clean export of everything you uploaded with at least 30 days' notice — you'd never be locked in.
Refunds
The setup fee covers the design + build work, which begins once you approve the preview and pay. No pro-rated refunds for early cancellation. Because you preview before paying, we expect this to be very rare.

What artists say

When I saw what Max at the Art Room had created, I knew that this was exactly what I needed. The process could not have been easier, I contacted Max on a Tuesday in June about an artist’s showcase, the page was live the very next day. I have since worked with Max to set up a page for Roscommon School of Art, equally easy, beautiful, practical and efficient. 100% recommendation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐

Hosting & ownership

For Rescue, Essential, Practice, and Bespoke: you own all infrastructure from day one. Accounts at GitHub, Supabase, Vercel, Cloudflare, and Resend are created in your name at launch using our comprehensive deployment guide. You’re never locked in. There’s no transfer step because everything’s yours from minute one.

Showcase is different: we host your page on TheArtRoom.ie, no separate accounts needed.

Frequently asked

Questions

Who owns the website we build?
You always own everything — content, design, and infrastructure. At launch, accounts at GitHub, Supabase, Vercel, Cloudflare, and Resend are created in your name using our comprehensive deployment guide. The Art Room is invited as a collaborator on each, so we can help when you need us — but if you ever decide to part ways with us, there's nothing to migrate. You already own all of it.
What happens if I want to stop working with you?
You leave with everything. We hand over full access, transfer accounts where needed, and document anything you might need to keep the site running or move it to another developer.
Do I need to know how to use Supabase, Vercel, or GitHub?
You don't need prior experience with any of these tools. At launch, we send you a step-by-step deployment guide that walks you through every account creation, every dashboard click, and every configuration step. Most clients complete it in about two hours, and we're available throughout via email if you get stuck. By the end, you'll know your own tools — which is useful a year from now when you wonder where to update something.
How long does a project take?
Essential sites are typically two weeks, Practice sites three to four weeks, and Bespoke projects six to eight weeks. Timeline starts after we've agreed on a brief and received the first deposit.
Do you do e-commerce or online sales?
We don't build shopping carts or checkout systems. Our approach is the gallery model: inquiries from interested collectors, with optional discreet payment links for direct purchases when appropriate. This keeps the focus on the work, not the transaction.
Can you redesign my existing website?
Yes. Most of our projects involve replacing a Squarespace, Wix, or older custom site. We'll migrate your content and improve everything around it.
Where are you based?
Dublin, Ireland. We work primarily with Irish and European clients but take on remote projects worldwide.
How do payments work?
Typically 50% deposit to start, 50% on completion. Bespoke projects may be split into three payments. We invoice via bank transfer (SEPA in EUR), Revolut also available.
What's the difference between Showcase and your other tiers?
Showcase is a hosted single page on theartroom.ie/artists/your-name. We design, build, and host it; you submit materials and we take care of everything else. Our other tiers (Rescue, Essential, Practice, Bespoke) are custom websites that live on your own domain and infrastructure — bigger scope, longer build, fully owned by you. Showcase is for artists who want a real web presence without running a website.
Can I upgrade from Showcase to a full site later?
Yes. If you decide you want your own custom site (Essential, Practice, or Bespoke), we credit the unused portion of your Showcase year toward the upgrade. Your work and materials transfer to the new project — no starting from scratch.
Do I get an admin or login with Showcase?
No — Showcase is concierge-built. You don't get a login or admin to edit your page. We make changes for you: small updates are €10 each, and one full content refresh per year is included at renewal. This keeps Showcase affordable and lets you focus on your work instead of a CMS.
What happens if I leave Showcase or don't renew?
You can leave at any time by emailing us. We unpublish your page within seven days and delete your materials within 30 days. If you simply don't renew at the end of your year, the page is unpublished after a 14-day grace period — we archive your materials for 30 more days in case you change your mind. We don't offer pro-rated refunds for early cancellation, but you keep the page through the end of your paid period.
