Statement

"I make the type of work I want to see, I'm drawn to interesting compositions to make art that aims to hold the viewer's attention in an image saturated age. If i'm not making art I'm looking at art constantly and analysing works based on colour contexts, technique and composition"

Bio

Paul James Kearney is a digital artist based in Galway. Trained as a painter, he works now between iPad drawing and fine-art printmaking, producing his work as one-off editions on Hahnemühle paper. A graduate of the Atlantic Technological University and the University of Galway, his work has been exhibited at the National Gallery of Ireland, the Royal Hibernian Academy, and internationally in New York, Paris, London, and Seoul. His work is held in the Irish State Art Collection (Office of Public Works) and in private collections internationally. He maintains a studio at MART, Galway.
